Robert Harril concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate and individual tax law. Although he primarily specializes in the areas of state and local taxation, he has advised clients in a wide range of domestic tax issues. His practice is focused in the following areas:

• state and local tax litigation in the Mid-Atlantic region
  
• tax efficient structuring and planning in connection with domestic mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations, and public offerings
  
• advice on day-to-day tax issues involving compliance, risk assessment, and tax policy
  

Prior to joining Blank Rome in 2002, Mr. Harrill was employed as a senior manager in the state and local tax group at PricewaterhouseCoopers in its Pittsburgh and Philadelphia offices. He has delivered lectures to a variety of organizations, including the Pennsylvania Electric Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Institution. He has also instructed classes at Villanova University and Temple University on state and local tax issues in reorganizations.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

• Represented clients in a state income, franchise, and sales tax controversy in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Ohio, New York, and Delaware
  
• Developed and implemented multi-state strategic tax plans for both large and middle-market clients
  
• Prepared tax due diligence analysis for federal and 33-state $3.4 billion acquisition
